About Alan

I came to massage therapy as a client first. After more than 20 years as a martial artist studying multiple systems, and as an amateur weightlifter, I have a long history of injury. Massage therapy, chiropractic work and acupuncture were the things that kept me functioning and on the mat. I saw so much value in them that I wanted to use my own experience and understanding of the body and movement to pay it forward.

I’m fascinated by the complexity of human movement, both in and out of dysfunction, so I work with the whole body and how it moves, not just one sore spot. In a session I draw on deep tissue work, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, active isolated stretching, visceral manipulation, cranio-sacral therapy and movement re-education. My goal is to reintroduce you to the fuller expression of the intelligence of the body, and its proper balance and function.

We work it out together. Tell me what’s going on, and I’ll put together the work that best meets your body’s needs and goals. Not sure what you need? Let’s have a conversation and figure it out.

People come to me for posture correction, injury recovery, chronic pain patterns and plain old stress management. All you have to do is commit to your own self care, and invest in the health of your future self.
